  1. Important things to know about "text2graphic pro"

  5. This document describes not-so obvious functionalities in brief.

  8. Startup:
  9. Put a text2graphic document called "Standard" in the same folder as the application and it will be opened at
  10. startup or if you create a new document. This "Standard" document should contain your own, personal
  11. preset formats.
  12.  
  13. Formats grid in the document window:
  14. You can switch a whole column of formats (=format in every text line) by holding the option key while
  15. clicking into a cell.

  17. Shadow blur values in properties window:
  18. Try extreme values just for a single direction to create dynamic effects.
  19.  
  20. Shadow opacity values in properties window:
  21. Use values larger than 100 to give a shadow more density. Good for creating glow effects.
  22.  
  23. "Antialias" in properties window:
  24. Switch "Antialias" off to speed up redraws or if you want another application to do text antialiasing for text2graphic.
  25. Two possibilities are: 
  26. 1. In the "Appearance" control panel of Mac OS8.5 or 8.6 (trademark of Apple Computer Ltd.) click on the "Fonts" tab
  27. and choose "smooth all fonts on screen".
  28. 2. Smoothtype (Shareware from Gregory D. Landweber, http://www.kaleidoscope.net/greg/smoothtype.html)
  29. Activate "Smooth other fonts" and use "4-bit Smoothing".
